Procedures
Liver Resection (Laparoscopic Partial Hepatectomy)
Laparoscopic resection of a portion of the liver is usually performed for the treatment of hepatic tumours either benign or malignant. Benign lesions include hepatocellular adenoma, hepatic hemangioma and focal nodular hyperplasia. Malignant lesions of the liver are either metastases or primarily of liver origin. Laparoscopic hepatectomy can sometimes be used in the setting of intrahepatic gallstones or parasitic cysts of the liver.
